As with many Hill City area lodging establishments we are a small family business just outside this friendly mountain town. Once a mining camp, Hill City , a well established year round community has become a favorite home away from home to visitors from near and far, enjoying it's ideal location in the heart of the Black Hill's most popular destinations. Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer state park are just minutes away. Surrounded by National Forest and situated in the center of the 109 mile George S. Mickelson trail, we feel very fortunate to call Hill City our home town. We have raised our children here, love our community and appreciate the convenience of a quick run in to town for groceries,gas, hardware etc. Many are surprised to find such a variety of services in a town with a population under 1000. Hill City is known for its friendly citizens and year round ambiance including eclectic shops, art galleries, restaurants, and local festivals.
