Property Details

Where is it?....On the farmland of Kaldbakur, within the town of Husavik, only 1200 meters from the town center. Five hundred km from Reykjavik (the capital), 100 km from Akureyri, 200 km from Seyðisfjörður (the Smyril line-ferry) and only 48 km from Lake Myvatn.

What is it?.....Twelve new cottages built of timber logs, 18-25 square meters in size, with all facilities (WC, shower, kitchen, TV, radio, refrigerator, kitchen utensils, toaster, stove, etc.). Big terrace. Beautiful view. Very private and convenient.

Why there?....The view is outstanding, the air is fresh, the water is clear, the peace is overwhelming, the possibilities are endless. Due to our excellent location on the "Diamond Ring", we recommend at least four days stay. One day in Myvatn area. One day in Dettifoss/National park area. One day to drive the Dimond ring round trip and visit all the interesting places on the ring. Last and not least we recommend one day in Husavik to go Whale watching, to visit the museums and restaurants and to relax in our small convenient houses, enjoing the beautiful wiew and a nice walk around the lake or in the hills.

What to do?....The Husavik Whale Watching (the very best!), golfing (1500 meters), walking (excellent paths), horse riding, bird watching (directly from the cottages!), fishing (free! 100 meters to the lake), hunting, hot tubs, swimming pool (2,5 km), outside natural warm bath (500 meters), skiing and snowscooter (only in winter!) or do absolutely nothing, the Icelandic way, in close proximity to nature

Where to go?...The most interesting places for visit in Iceland are within 100 km radius from Husavik:. Dettifoss, Myvatn, Nature baths (The blue lagoon of the north), Goðafoss, Krafla, �sbyrgi, the park in Jökulsárgljúfur canyon, the fossils at Tjörnes, the ghost valleys of the north. History at every step, new view following every hill. Just to mention a few places for visit
