Just a short walk from Canadel beach Mas Notre Dame is a four bedroom detached traditional french house with private pool, small childrens pool with gardens overlooking the mediterranean bay of Promisquier cap negre and isles d'hyeres.

Property Details

Mas Notre Dame was built in around 1920 and purchased by the present Architect owner in 1998. Le Rayol/Canadel is on the delectable and largely unspoilt mediterranean coastline west of St Tropez and situated between Le Lavandou and Cavalaire sur mer. From our dining terrace we have the most stunning view of the sea and the 'golden islands', these are protected and many visitors go to dive and see the underwater forest awash with the beautiful fish. We have gardens to laze in and a 9m x 4m swimming pool with western red cedar sun deck furnished with sun loungers and sun umbrellas. There is a gas BBQ for al fresco summer evenings, we even have an extra fridge near the pool so that you don't have to move very far for that cool drink. The swimming pool has an electrically operated cover and pool alarm.

The house is our winter home and is furnished accordingly with a comfortable sitting room, fully equipped kitchen. We have a separate laundry room. All of the bedrooms are a good size with either a double bed or two single beds in each, all having a door to a sea view terrace, three of the rooms have en-suite facilities and the other has a shower room adjacent. The house is equipped with an alarm system and a safe.

Canadel beach is a small sandy beach with a beach bar, loungers and sunshades and perhaps the odd pedalo all just a 10 minute stroll down a sandy track..We have a lovely restaurants nearby and although we are out of the village it is only a few minutes by car. The village has all the shops needed for a holiday, butchers, baker, chemist, tobac and small supermarket. There is a village market every friday and a small market on Tuesday in Canadel which is within walking distance. The area is very keen on markets and there is one within easy reach every day of the week.

Le Rayol has a botanical garden with plants collected from all over the world. Built in 1910 by a retired businessman, he planted date palms, eucalyptus, agaves and mimosas on the hillside overlooking 'fig tree bay' The house was sold in 1925 when the bathing resort of Rayol was built. It was purchased by the coastline conservatory in 1989.
Le Lavandou and Cavalaire both about 15-20mins drive have large marina's with a large array of luxury yachts to look at and all the lovely bars and restaurants that go with marina's. There are plenty of shops in both towns including large supermarkets.

Further is 'St Tropez' the famous place to go and people watch, the town is fascinating and the beaches fantastic, it takes about 45 minutes to drive to St Tropez.

Our prices are inclusive.We supply all linen, towels. Electricity and water.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

A deposit of 25% is required with booking and the remainder of the payment 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. We also require a returnable security deposit equivalent to 600 Euro.
Additional cleaning and babysitting can be arranged at an additional cost payable locally.
