Situated on a big, entirely fenced site at the edge of our tiny village, our new Danish style log cabin offers wonderful views of the surrounding hills, forests and meadows.
The outside walls are made from log, inside, there are wooden ceilings, wall-papered walls and tiles on the floors.
The whole unit is on one level and therefore it is convenient for elderly people and guests with a slight handicap.
2 double bedrooms ( bed size 1,80 x 2 meters ), both with electric alarm clocks and big wardrobe with mirror.
2 shower rooms, both with WC and wash basin, one with washing machine and tumbler.
Spacious open living-area with fitted kitchen on one side, corner bench with table and chairs, cupboard, convertable sofa and relax chair with coffee table in the centre of the room and hideaway bed for 5th person at the wall between the 2 doors leading to the covered veranda.
The kitchen contains electric stove and oven, micro wave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster and many other electric devices, Tupperware kitchen utensils, plenty of pots, pans, china, glasses and cooking utensils.
Satellite-TV, radio with CD- and MC-player. Ironing equipment and vacuum cleaner.
1 cot and 1 highchair available.
Covered veranda facing South with wonderful views of the nature around, with garden furniture and barbeque grill.
Carport with storage room and garden with lawn.

he surrounding area
Börfink is a tiny village ( founded to supply the nearby ironworks with charcoal in the 19th century ) surrounded by huge forests with rare plants, many deer, clear sparkling brooks and the cleanest air in Germany. It is most suitable for a stay " away from it all ", for hiking and relaxation, yet central for many tours to the valleys of Moselle and Nahe with excellent wines and many attractions, trips across the borders to our European neighbours in Luxembourg and France and to the German Gemstone Route only a few miles away.

Hiking, biking, summer toboggan run, fun swimming pool, airplane exhibition, Roman and Celtic excavations and remains, German Gemstone Route with many gemstone shops, demonstrations of gemstone cutting, seach for gemstones in the visitors´mine Steinkaulenberg, swimming, surfing and pedal boat rides at lake Bostal, deer parks, ship cruises on the Mosel, wine tasting along the rivers Mosel and Nahe, golf.

Rental Policies

34 Euro for 2 guests per night, each additional person pays 6,50 Euro/night. 1 dog is free. Beds are made on arrival, towels, electricity, water, central heating, final cleaning and a welcome beverage are included. Short stays possible, price on request. Telephone/Internet will be charged according to the current tariffs of the chosen providers.
100 Euros deposit on arrival, will be paid back, if the house is left in reasonable condition without damage/litter.
30 % of the rental price is charged to confirm a booking, in case of cancellation this amount is not refundable. We recommend a travel insurance. Sorry, no cheque or credit card payment.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

All year : 34 Euro/night for 2 people plus 6,50 Euro/night for each additional guest, 1 toddler sleeping in a cot free of charge, 1 pet free as well. 100 Euro depaosit on arrival, will be refunded on departure, if the property is left without damage and litter and in decent condition.
Minimum stay 3 nights.
