Stepping into Eleanor Cottage will take you back into Pacific Beach's history. There are many photos of Pacific Beach from the turn of the century. This is a great treat for a history buff, or someone who would like to see more about the community in the convenience of your own home. The first bedroom is cozy with a queen sized bed. Down the hall on the right you will find a full bath. Past the bathroom straight ahead is the guest room with two twin beds. The guest room has a perfect view of the Alder Park. The living room is cozy with a large screen HDTV with high definition local, sports, and movie channels. Off the living room is the front porch. Directly off the big front porch is the North Alder Park. The park offers a community BBQ area with a stocked wood shed for your convenience. Your family will enjoy the large grassy area where you can play yard games, or just relax in the great outdoors. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your cooking needs; just bring your own food & spices. The cook of the family can still visit with the others since the dining area is directly off the kitchen. The dining area has three dining chairs and a comfortable bench seat. Seabrook offers trails to the beach; the closest trail to Eleanor is called “Elk Creek Beach Promenade�. This trail starts about a block away from Eleanor, goes through the woods, and down to the Pacific Ocean. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach from the trailhead. You can also take the Alder Walk directly to Crescent Park. The park has a play area and toys for kids. It also has a Shuffleboard, Horse Shoe Pits, Firepits with wood.
