YACHT HARBOR HOME: This elegant home sleeps up to 8a and 2c (no 10a) with 3-bedrooms & 2-baths. Enjoy the fun spiral staircase that goes up to the spacious crows nest deck with peeks of the ocean and views of the harbor. This deck also has 4-outdoor chairs. The front of the home also has a large deck for entertaining with a spacious teak table. There are benches built along outer edge of the deck for lots of seating and the home is just a 3-min walk to the Twin Lakes Beach. The 1st bedroom has a flat screen TV and a Queen Bed with a door opening to a rear private deck with Hot Tub and an adjacent full bath. The 2nd Bedroom has a Queen Bed and a private full bath; also with a door to the private deck and hot tub. The 3rd bedroom is down a somewhat steep, short set of stairs and has 2-Twin beds, which is great for the kids room; with a flat screen TV. There is also 1-Queen sofa sleeper couch in the Living Room and 1 Queen futon/bed in the Den area of the Living Room by the fire-stove. There is a privacy curtain that separates these two beds from each other. The Living Room with the adjoining Den (which is the L-shaped wing off the Living Room) features another flat screen There are two full baths. There is a 2-person table next to the kitchen and a 8-person Dining table in the dining area. This home has especially nice décor. There is a fully equipped tiled kitchen with a gas range, dishwasher, coffee maker etc. and stainless steel refrigerator. It has hardwood floors throughout, and 2 street parking spaces alongside the front of the home. The owner provides two street parking permits. The Backyard has a wooden deck and is fully fenced with the Hot Tub, an outdoor shower and a gas BBQ. Twin Lakes Beach is an almost level walk, just 3-blocks from the home and it has fire-rings for bonfires. The Yacht Club is just 2 and 1/2 blocks away over the harbor bridge and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is just 1-more block further. 1 block to the harbor. Also with in an easy stroll are a set of restaurants Also enjoy watching the ducks, geese and swans at lagoon next to 9th Avenue. There are several Restaurants in the harbor such as the Famous Crow's Nest, for fine dining and with outside deck from which you can watch the sailboat races. Aldos, just across the harbor, is great for breakfast. Fresh fish can also be bought from local fishermen, under Johnny’s Restaurant at the Bridge. Also, do not miss Johnnys Monday & Tuesday Gourmet nights where a 4-course meal is only $15 and includes wine. There are Bathrooms and Outdoor Showers at the Beach. The unique Village of Capitola is about a 10-minute drive away and the downtown area of Santa Cruz, called the Pacific Garden Mall, with theaters, more restaurants, unique shops & garden areas is about 5-minutes away. The world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium is less than an hour south on Hwy 1 as is the beautiful 17-Mile Drive. Others amenities include: 5-bicycles, 4-boogie boards, 4-outdoor extra chairs, 4-extra folding kitchen chairs, extra Large beach towels. Pet Friendly, (only 35 lb. and under dogs are ok at this home) There is also a wagon to roll to the beach to carry beach gear, lunch and any other beach items; guests would like to take easily to the Beach or Harbor. There are extra linens and beach towels in the closets.Our most favorite way to get to the Yacht Harbor Home is: From San Jose, take Hwy 17 South 26 miles to Hwy 1 exit toward Watsonville & Monterey. Take the 2nd exit, Soquel. Right off freeway, turn Right at stop sign, then, within 1/2 block, Left on on Soquel. At the next signal, turn Left on 7th Ave. Continue down 7th Ave (about 1 mile) past the signal at Eaton, turn Right at the next street, Delores. Continue 2 short blocks to 5th and turn Right. Those cars parking on street will need an owner-provided Parking Pass during the posted summer months of early April to early Sept. Use them or you may get a parking ticket. Please be sure to return these laminated parking passes on your last day, as there will be a $50 fee for replacing them. Park alongside the home and go inside and get the parking permits- there are 2 parking permits kept in the kitchen drawer and place on your dashboard. Also, HOT TUB HOURS- 10AM-10PM***as the Neighbors bedroom is on the other side of the fence, by the hot tub.
