Relax and renew your spirit with your neighbors, the Pacific Grey Whales. Twice a year 18,000 whales migrate between Baja and the Arctic. Two hundred of these peaceful creatures have taken residence right here in our Central Oregon coastal waters and can be seen closest to the shore in the summertime. A Part of My Heart is a sanctuary for groups and families - resting on a private hillside acre overlooking treetops, not rooftops. The in-law quarters, adjoined by an indoor staircase offers privacy, has a separate outdoor entrance and is complete with a 2nd kitchen. The home is built for comfort - submerge your cares in the garden hot tub, find your perfect Sleep Number on one of the king size beds, browse the DVDs, music, games and books, surf the internet wirelessly, enjoy cable and satellite TV, get lost in the sweeping ocean views and crashing white water from just about every window, search the horizon for whale spouts, wish upon one of a million stars that fill the nighttime sky. Storm watching and cuddling by the wood stove are favorite winter pastimes. Beverly Beach is well known for beach-combing, picnicking, surfing and easy foot access under Hwy 101. We can see the beach at low tide, colorful kites, wind surfers, and hang gliders right from the windows. There is a small grocery store on the way where you can pick up your kite. The State Park offers a nature trail along Spencer Creek among the towering trees of the Suislaw National Forest - all within walking distance from the home. The perfect getaway offers plenty of fun, snacks, fresh air, walks and lots of naps. All doggies who enjoy this kind of vacation may invite their owners to A Part of My Heart. This place is great for running on the beach, napping, getting your tummy scratched, sunning on the deck, or just watching out the windows. PLEASE NOTE: Additional $50 Pet Cleaning fee applies when you bring your dog. Just a few miles North of Newport (at the Beverly Beach State Park), then make an immediate right to go up the hill. Take the first left up a gravel road, then turn on the first left which is NE Benton. Take the next left which is 122nd St. Follow this gravel road all the way to the end and down the last driveway. The home is blue with white trim. A key box is at the house waiting for your arrival.
