Macleay Island, known as The Emerald Isle is the second largest of the Bay Islands. Situated just 30km from Brisbane in the Moreton Bay Marine Park, at the southern end of Moreton Bay. It is 6.5km long and 4km wide at its widest point.

CHANGES & CANCELLATION POLICY: More than 7 notice, full refund less fees & charges up to $100. Less than 7 days: no refund. There is a $50 admin fee for changing dates prior to arrival date, if booking is not resold the fee is $100

Macleay Island Accommodation is not responsible or liable for the actions of any invitees of guests. Under no circumstances are there to be more than the maximum booked persons in the property at any time. Extra charge $250 pp. TELEPHONE: There is reception for most mobile phones; there are no landlines in any of our properties.
Housekeeping & Garbage Removal: We thank you and appreciate you leaving the property in good order including the BBQ. If the cleaner is required for extra time, a $100 surcharge will apply When using the electric kettle please check you've filled it with water before switching on.
NO SMOKING indoors in any of our properties, each property has ashtrays provided outdoors for your convenience. For guests who smoke indoors an extra night's accommodation will be charged.
Loss or Damage: All Macleay Island Accommodation properties are for the comfort & pleasure of our guests. Parties are not permitted. If your behavior or that of your guest/s causes distress, damage, danger or annoyance, we reserve the right to ask you to vacate the property immediately. ** Please report breakages etc during your stay. You are responsible for any damage caused to the property due to accidental breakage, loss or misuse including food or wine stains or burns on furnishings etc and responsible for full cost of replacement Your credit card details will be kept for one month after vacating the property for this purpose and other charges as referred to & implied herein. Children should not be left unattended.
FURNISHINGS: All crockery & linen is supplied to ensure your complete comfort, in fact if you think of anything we've missed, please let us know and we'll try to have it available for your next visit. Please refrain from moving ANY furnishings, including the BBQ, Please DO NOT retune the TV etc. Be aware of where you are, it can become quite windy at night, so care should be taken regarding outside furnishings including the BBQ cover & chairs.

TRANSPORT
Macleay Island is approximately an hour from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
To reach the island you catch a water taxi or vehicle barge from the seaside suburb of Redland Bay.
The Water taxi is located at the southern end of Banana St. It takes approximately 15 minutes to reach Macleay Island. Ph; 3206 8033 for timetable information and fares.
The Vehicle Barge is located at Weinham St. It takes approximately 40 minutes to reach the island. Ph; 3829 0999 for timetable information, bookings are essential.
There is vehicle hire available on the island, at a budget price.

There is a bus which travels from the northern end of the island to the jetty at the southern end, picking up high school children, enabling them to meet the water taxi. A bus follows a similar route to take the primary school children to school.
