Macleay Island, known as The Emerald Isle is the second largest of the Bay Islands. Situated just 30km from Brisbane in the Moreton Bay Marine Park, at the southern end of Moreton Bay. It is 6.5km long and 4km wide at its widest point.

Set on the beachfront of Macleay Island a sub-tropical island in the pristine waters of the Moreton Bay Marine park amidst landscaped gardens offers you stunning water views and spectacular sunsets.
There are 3 luxurious queen-size bedrooms each with beautifully appointed ensuites.
The 4th bedroom is adaptable with either a king-size bed or 2 singles. This room is disabled friendly with a huge ensuite. All rooms have private entrances leading to the verandah and garden areas.
A peaceful guest lounge, dining area with kitchenette and lots of private areas in the gardens available for relaxing.
Breakfasts are a 3 course gourmet delight. (Vegetarians can be catered for)
Guests receive the complimentary use of sea kayaks, private jetty, bicycles, fishing equipment, dinghy, golf clubs, and a DVD/Video library.

The upper level of this lovely home has a relaxing open plan room. This area has comfortable sofas, a double sofa bed, dining area, fully equipped kitchen surrounded by huge windows and a wrap around verandah.
The verandah has several entertaining areas, a BBQ and wonderful water views.
There are 2 peaceful queen-size bedrooms and 1 bedroom with 2 singles. All bedrooms open onto the verandahs with water views.
There are full laundry facilities.

A newly refurbished waterfront fully self contained house, offering peace, tranquility and amazing water views, on Macleay Island, a sub tropical island set in the pristine waters of the Moreton Bay Marine Park
The living area is open plan with a brand new white 2pac and black granite kitchen that is a delight to cook in and still enjoy what is happening in the lounge and dining areas.
This entire area has water views and opens onto the verandah and deck.
The deck is an entertainer’s delight with a huge table and BBQ.
There are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has water views a queen size bed, large walk in robe and access to the two way bathroom.
The second bedroom has water views, 2 single beds, built in robes and access to the two way bathroom.
There are full laundry and bathroom facilities.
Outdoors enjoy the gardens which run all the way down to the waters edge.

Overlooking the native flora and fauna which adorns the Macleay Island Golf Course is this almost brand new 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom home.
Along the front of the house is a long verandah, perfect for relaxing on while you watch the golfers exercise.
The lounge area is a cleverly designed breeze way to keep you cool although the house is fully air-conditioned.
The main bedroom opens to the verandah, has a queen-size bed and ensuite with a bath.
The second bedroom opens to the verandah, has a queen-size bed, ensuite and is light and airy.
Bedroom 3 has a single bed, desk, ensuite, and is tastefully decorated in neutral tones.
The beautifully landscaped gardens have a gazebo with a BBQ area.

Macleay Island Accommodation looks forward to having you enjoy your stay with us. It's our pleasure to have you share our properties and experience the joy of life on our peaceful island. In order to ensure that every guest leaves feeling relaxed & rejuvenated after having stayed in this unique getaway, we ask you to please read the following. Its purpose is to maintain the high standards we know you will appreciate when you stay at any of our properties. If you have any questions now is the time to ask them. We take personal pride in offering each guest an enjoyable experience we know you will delight in, and thank you for taking the time to familiarize yourself with what we are offering. Our aim is to make your stay as peaceful & pleasurable as possible and this form eliminates the need to have signs placed throughout the property. So please read it thoroughly before arriving, it may be helpful to bring it with you; you'll find it covers many questions we've been asked in the past.


TARIFF: We accept EFT, most major credit cards & cash. A credit card number is to be provided on check in. Please note: If unable to provide credit card details a cash bond of $500 will be required, without which, access may be denied.
CHANGES & CANCELLATION POLICY: More than 7 notice, full refund less fees & charges up to $100. Less than 7 days: no refund. There is a $50 admin fee for changing dates prior to arrival date, if booking is not resold the fee is $100

Check-In is between 1 – 5 pm, at our office which is located at The Boathouse Bed & Breakfast, 39 Attunga St,
If you're planning on being later please phone us on 07 34094838 the day before to ensure we'll be here for you. Please contact us 48 hours before checking in with your ETA. Checkout is by 10am (Except for guests who have booked The Boathouse Bed & breakfast checkout is 11a.m or later by prior arrangement). Please return keys to our office so we know you've left the premises, if you do not return keys or are late checking out an additional fee will be charged at our discretion. Macleay Island Accommodation is not responsible or liable for the actions of any invitees of guests. Under no circumstances are there to be more than the maximum booked persons in the property at any time. Extra charge $250 pp. TELEPHONE: There is reception for most mobile phones; there are no landlines in any of our properties.

Housekeeping & Garbage Removal: We thank you and appreciate you leaving the property in good order including the BBQ. If the cleaner is required for extra time, a $100 surcharge will apply When using the electric kettle please check you've filled it with water before switching on.

NO SMOKING indoors in any of our properties, each property has ashtrays provided outdoors for your convenience. For guests who smoke indoors an extra night's accommodation will be charged.

Loss or Damage: All Macleay Island Accommodation properties are for the comfort & pleasure of our guests. Parties are not permitted. If your behavior or that of your guest/s causes distress, damage, danger or annoyance, we reserve the right to ask you to vacate the property immediately. ** Please report breakages etc during your stay. You are responsible for any damage caused to the property due to accidental breakage, loss or misuse including food or wine stains or burns on furnishings etc and responsible for full cost of replacement Your credit card details will be kept for one month after vacating the property for this purpose and other charges as referred to & implied herein. Children should not be left unattended.

FURNISHINGS: All crockery & linen is supplied to ensure your complete comfort, in fact if you think of anything we've missed, please let us know and we'll try to have it available for your next visit. Please refrain from moving ANY furnishings, including the BBQ, Please DO NOT retune the TV etc. Be aware of where you are, it can become quite windy at night, so care should be taken regarding outside furnishings including the BBQ cover & chairs.

TRANSPORT
Macleay Island is approximately an hour from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
To reach the island you catch a water taxi or vehicle barge from the seaside suburb of Redland Bay.
The Water taxi is located at the southern end of Banana St. It takes approximately 15 minutes to reach Macleay Island. Ph; 3206 8033 for timetable information and fares.
The Vehicle Barge is located at Weinham St. It takes approximately 40 minutes to reach the island. Ph; 3829 0999 for timetable information, bookings are essential.
There is vehicle hire available on the island, at a budget price.

There is a bus which travels from the northern end of the island to the jetty at the southern end, picking up high school children, enabling them to meet the water taxi. A bus follows a similar route to take the primary school children to school.
