Property Details

Plantation Manager's Beach House
Built in 1947 from a recycled redwood railroad bridge, the gracious plantation manager's beach home is reminiscent of Hawaii's plantation era. Its 10 foot ceilings and indoor and outdoor lanais capture the feel of Hawai'i in the early part of the century. In front of the home are three white sand beaches. The sheltered lagoon offers a safe playground for children to learn to swim and snorkel. The large front yard and private promontory provide a perfect site for weddings, reunions, family gatherings and retreats.

Seaside Zen Cottage
This cedar home was once a school teacher's house in Hilo. It was dismantled and reassembled at the beach in the 1930's. The idyllic settings of our beach homes have attracted many weddings. The romantic Seaside Zen Cottage is also referred to by some as the seaside honeymoon cottage. Guests return year after year for anniversaries, family vacations or just to hang out with the honu, the green sea turtles that live in the lagoon in front of the Cottage.

Rental Policy

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

Weekly rate for Zen Cottage $3,000-$3,500
Weekly rate for Plantation House $4,400-$4,900
$300/person over 6 in Cottage and 8 in House.
Security Deposits $1,000 for Cottage, $1,500 for House and returned after departure.
Both houses must be rented for weddings and site visit fee additional.
