Wake up to the sound of flowing water and drink your coffee on the wrap around porch sitting in a handmade Amish rocking chair. Relax and enjoy the noisy sounds of Talking Rock Creek while gazing at the beautiful rock cliff just across the creek.
Spot a dear going to get a drink at the river or encounter a wild turkey on your early morning walk on the trail. Relax in the hot tub facing the creek or drive 15 minutes to Carters lake and rent a pontoon boat at the marina. Discover the beauty of this well preserved mountain lake abundant in fish and private coves.
If you prefer to stay at the cabin you can also enjoy the sandy beach with the kids, grab a fishing pole and try your luck at catching a “red eye” bass, trout or a catfish... play a game of horse shoes or capture the wildlife on film.
Access to the cabin is very easy as it is right off 515 and 136, the driveway is well maintained and there is plenty of parking. You are only a few miles from Kroger, Ingles and many restaurants including fine dining at the Woodbridge Inn in Jasper.
We are lucky to have a little deli convenience store down the road from us. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Their son is a fishing guide on Carters lake. He knows all the secret spots where you can catch the big ones.
