Great Discovery Bay villa with wonderful ocean views, access to the water for nice swimming and snorkeling. Plus there is a sandy area and even a walk to a private beach.

Property Details

Sea Haven is a single story, four bedroom, blue and white cottage with ambiance that is charming, peaceful and serene. It sits, secluded and private, though aproximate to sixteen other homes, on the sheltered eastern shore of the very popular Discovery Bay, known colloquially as Jamaica’s “Riviera”. The one-acre garden has bearing fruit trees, and Broughtonia orchids smother tree-trunks.

Sixteen Jacuzzi jets and an air blower feed the 21’ x 11’ heated plunge pool where you can sit on the 21' bench with your drink and watch the sunset. The villa has four staff: Alfred, the ubiquitous butler - he is a superb cook - Elva the housekeeper, Angela, her assistant and Clive, the gardener.

Fine antiques help to create interiors that are interesting and welcoming. The tortoise-backed dining chairs came from Admiralty House, in Port Royal, where they were used by Admirals Rodney and Horatio Nelson. A wet bar contains an under-the-counter ice maker and the modern kitchen is fully equipped with a commercial stove, and microwave oven.

French doors lead from the living room to a spacious covered verandah overlooking the the sea and mountains beyond.

Also for your convenience, there is a computer and 3-way fax, scanner and printer with free high speed Internet connection.

Although Sea Haven does not have a beach, it does have a small built-up, sandy area. There are 2 great ways to access the water. One, on the left, are cut-stone steps into about 2 feet of water. The second, on the right, is a stainless steel ladder into about 6 feet of water. The sea bottom varies from white sand to sea grass to some coral outcrops and a few boulders nearer in to shore, which is a great place to see all the little colourful fish . A swim platform is approx 12 x 12 feet and is anchored about 40 feet offshore in about 12 feet of water. Guests also have access to a private "owners" sandy beach located next to the public Puerto Seco beach, a few minutes walk away. Two ocean Kayaks and snorkeling gear are also provided.

Rental Policy

A 50% deposit is required 7 days after the reservation has been made.

Final Payment:

Due 60 days prior to the arrival date.

Cancellation:

1. A 20% cancellation fee will be retained for all cancellations.

2. We must be notified of all cancellations and any changes in your reservation (for example, number of people staying in the villa), in writing.

3. If you cancel 60 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date at the villa, you will receive a full refund minus the cancellation fee.

4. If you cancel less than 60 days prior to your scheduled arrival date at the villa, a refund will only be given if the property can be rented.

All the above rules change to 90 days durings the holiday season.

Arrival Times

Check-in after 3pm. Check-out before 12 noon. This can be flexible if nobody is staying at the villa prior to your arrival or after your departure.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

Minimum stay is usually 4 nights. May consider less during the low season so please check with us.
