Steps from the Rio Del Mar State beach. 90 minutes from San Francisco. 40 minutes from Monterey or San Jose. 10 minutes to the Capitola. 15 minutes to Santa Cruz mountains and redwoods. Steps to the sand. See the USS Palo Alto from your living room. This cement ship was brought to Rio Del Mar beach in the 1920's and turned into a floating nightclub. Time and tides took it's toll. The cement ship is now the home for numerous fish and sea birds. The pier leading to the ship offers no-license required fishing.
