We were over in Maine for a family wedding so decided to spend an extra week in the area having come so far from the United Kingdom.
We chose the Friendship guest house because it was on the shoreline and it was great value given the space and facilities offered as part of the accommodation. Suzanne was incredibly helpful in ensuring we had everything we needed as part of the booking process and the house and location certainly lived up to expectations. So we spent a very relaxing week kayaking around the islands and inlets of the Medomak River discovering the 19th Century shipbuilding yards of Waldoboro, taking a step back in time on the 10 mile offshore island of Moneghan, chilling out on the white sands of Pemaquid beach and strolling around the arts and craft shops of Camden and Boothbay Harbour. Then at the end of day , enjoying a nice bottle of wine and a smorgasbord of fresh lobster, mussels and clams on the veranda of the guesthouse playing cards and spying the seals, herons and cormorants in the cove. A great house and a great location to really slow down and relax without any hassle. |

| We spent a week in October last year and it was one of the best vacations we have ever had. From the moment I had communications with Suzanne to the day we left the vacation home was awesome...The home was more that we ever expected. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable time. The experiences we had were those that will stay with us forever. The memories we made of the walks on the pier, fishing on the pier, watching the lobster boats while enjoying a cup of coffee on the magnificent deck over looking the water, the trips to the village and the wonderful breakfast at the local diner. But the tranquil settings and the peace that we were able to not only enjoy while there but to bring home with us in our memories was just awesome...The home itself is beautiful and so well kept. I loved the antiques and felt as if it were my own home ,thats how awesome Suzanne makes you feel. I would suggest that you bring a camera though because the scenery is one that you will want to capture for years to come...We hope to return one day soon and bring those wonderful and treasured memories back to life again....Enjoy and I know you wont be dissappointed at all.. | |
