Over the last five years we have visited Antigua a number of times and stayed in a selection of villas. In choosing these we usually conduct our own research on the internet or occasionally use agents. Our experience of using these methods prior to us arriving at Villa Gaia had always been favourable. In making our choice on this occasion, we again conducted our own research. The point I am making here is that we are not new to researching our own holiday accommodation, and we have done it successfully on numerous occasions in the past.
Villa Gaia was therefore chosen as the most suitable accommodation for the purposes of us celebrating our daughters 21st birthday. It was chosen following the consideration of a number of other villas on the island. Villa Gaia was selected on the basis of the information we got from the owner's website and that of other websites hosted by your agents. However on arriving at the Villa, we found that there were gross inaccuracies in the information we had been given. It took more than 3 minutes to walk. www.thevillagaia.com Photos displayed on website. 1.Specific picture of views of the villa give the impression that it is close to the beach when it is not. 2.Picture of views from the villa are inaccurate. The villa interior is clean and well presented, but no more than you would expect considering the rental costs. The villa is described as having a large pool. Of course this is open to interpretation, but I would not agree that it is large, small would be more appropriate. The area around the pool is surronded by overgrown tree foiliage. Opportunities for sunbathing at the villa are therefore extremely limited. |
