Even though I was charged a cleaning fee (the owner says he cleans the house himself), there was dust and spider webs all over the house, especially over the stove. There was mold in the fridge in the bar area so we were not able to use. Wet towels were left in the laundry room so it smelled like mildew(which made the master bathroom smell). The chairs (3) and cushions on the deck were so soaking wet and dirty that we were not able to sit on them. There were 5 light bulbs blown (3 on the deck and 2 in the house (I called the owner and he told me where he kept the bulbs and told me I would need to replace them). The bed in the spare br broke while an adult and child were sleeping (when I called the owner, he stated that he had problems with the bed before). The guests stated that the mattresses in the spare bedrooms were the most uncomfortable they had ever slept on. This was a surprise birthday party and all the guests made comments about how dirty the place was. When I emailed the owner (John) to let him know the issues for his future rentals, his response was 'maybe you should find another place to rent next time'. I was very disappointed with the house and also the response from the owner. Very disappointing rental.
