    Great Stay
    Joe - NYC
My wife and I stayed at Trevor's 2nd cottage, which looks similar to the one listed only slightly bigger for a week in April. As is usually mentioned Trevor’s cottages are likely the best deal as far as accommodations go in all of Saint John. We paid @ $100 +/- a day and Trevor throws in the use of his Jeep (which my wife named Hopper). The Jeep runs great, though it's not fancy, it's an island vehicle it has had a life, but it's reliable, and it will allow you to explore the island comfortably... Trevor lives in the 3rd dwelling on the property. As others have mentioned, Trevor is constantly working on the property, so if you stay a week you'll likely see some sort of improvement... The cottages are clean, cool, and about a ten-minute drive to Cruz Bay. When you arrive Trevor will pick you up and will give you some info about the island and how to get around. Saint John is pretty small and there are only so many main roads so getting lost really is not a major concern… The cottages are located on Gift Hill, which is inland, thus not on the water. It’s not a far drive but if staying on the water is what you want then the cottages will not be for you… An added plus of staying with Trevor is that he runs an activities booth in town, so if you want to plan any trips you can talk to him directly… You will need to be slightly adventurous to stay at cottages the road down to them, like most roads in Saint John, is steep. If you rent the larger cabin it has lovely kitchen, which is located on the porch. Do not be surprised to see some geckos running around on the counters in the morning… Water is a precious commodity on Saint John, most islanders have water shipped to their homes and at the same time have modernized systems which collect rainwater which is transferred into tanks. This reality includes Trevor. So, if you are staying with him during a time of drought (the island sees them), which was the case when we were there, do not be surprised if Trevor asks you to try to take shorter showers… I would definitely come back and I recommend renting either of the cabins to anyone who is slightly adventurous. No this isn’t the Weston, but is a far from camping, flat screen TV’s in your rooms hooked up to a satellite television, running water, full baths, ceiling fans, wireless internet, full kitchen, plus a gas grill – hardly camping. You do not need to be a survivalist to handle this just not someone who wants what only a large Hotel can offer… If you should stay give Trevor’s sweet dog Jackie a hug for us.

Eco camping is not for me....
    Doreen and Mid - Greensboro
Peaceful Cottage was eco camping. It is the best value on the island. If you're into tent camping then this is a step up. The bugs aren't as bad as camping but you will see them. We stayed here the last week of October and we were never hot but without air-conditioning your things will stay damp so be forewarned. You won't get as much of a breeze as you would if you were staying on a hillside. The shower pressure was never strong enough to wash my hair and I had to wash it in the sink which I don't mind, but you might. It was not spotless, so be prepared if you are a clean freak. Trevor could not have been more accommodating. He worked so hard to fix the 'no hot water' problem but be prepared to take very quick showers. Fresh water is somewhat scarce on the island. This is a rustic cottage but for the value you cannot beat it. We paid $100.00 per night off season and got to use the jeep. You can't beat that deal.
Trevor was a cheerful fellow and a real sweetheart.

    Perfect!
    Brandy and Dan - Florida
We stayed in St. John for two weeks. One of those was spent at a Peaceful Cottage. You cannot beat this deal! Having access to the jeep made it the best value on the island as rental cars are not cheap on St. John. Trevor was awesome. We enjoyed our time at the Peaceful Cottage and would definitely stay there again.

Thanks Trevor! We are missing St. John so much!

    Great Cottage- Awesome Host!
    Katie and Tristan - Florida
We rented the Peaceful Cottage for a full week and we couldn't have asked for anything more! Perfect location- the cottage is just far enough away from the hustle of Downtown Cruz Bay but is only a 10 minute drive to town. While the cottage was great- our host, Trevor, is what made our trip wonderful. We had full access to his Jeep which enabled us to venture out everyday and gave us much more freedom than the average tourist. He found out we were planning on renting a boat so he hooked us up a day long charter boat trip- truly a life changing experience! The cottage has a nice little kitchen- however when we wanted to eat out- Trevor had some great recommendations. After each long day it was so nice to come back to a cute, clean, cottage in such a relaxing location. When we come back to St. John we know where we're staying. :)

    Amazing and Wonderful!
    Vanessa and Aaron - California
We were in the Virgin Islands for 2 weeks and our first week was spent on St. John. We were so lucky to have found the Peaceful Cottage, because it truly made our experience on St. John complete. The safe, clean, comfortable, and peaceful environment gave us a place to relax as well as cook for ourselves and enjoy our vacation to it's fullest. The provided Jeep was the biggest bonus, allowing us to adventure out everyday to where ever we wanted when ever we wanted. No taxi or tour bus for the guest at the Peaceful Cottage! The owner is the other great thing this accommodation has to offer. He is close and available to help with any questions, concerns or advise any traveler may need. He also knows all the islands very well and can book a great excursion for you on any islands to any place you have in mind. We LOVED it, and when back in St. John the Peaceful Cottage is the only place we will stay! Can't wait to visit the Peaceful Cottage again, it really is one of the Virgin Island’s best kept secret!
