Holiday Isle - Destin Florida
Posted by Kathleen Mason on Saturday, March 28, 2009
Holiday Isle is a coveted, three-mile long peninsula nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and the Destin Harbor. When you vacation on Holiday Isle in Destin, you feel a sense of privacy and relaxation. Very little traffic and sidewalks that line the main road make it a great place for bike riding or walking along the Gulf or the harbor.
But if you're looking for more than relaxation, there is no better spot in Destin than Holiday Isle! Fishing, snorkelling, jet skis, parasailing and many other water activities are all right there along the Gulf and Destin Harbor, as well as a vast variety of great seafood and Destin's best restaurants. Looking to do some shopping? Enjoy the many strip malls and fashionable boutiques the Destin Harbor area has to offer.

Destin is known as "The World's Luckiest Fishing Village." Destin is apart of the Emerald Coast of Florida and is located in the Panhandle. Overall Destin is a family destination with activities for everyone. The water is emerald green and the sand is a soft white color most often referred to as "Sugary." There are thousands of Destin rentals through out the area and finding the perfect one can be a challenge.

Many miracles of nature caress Destin. The underwater 100 Fathom Curve draws closer to Destin than to any other spot in Florida – creating the speediest deep-water access on the Gulf. This phenomenon makes the area the “Billfish Capital of the World” with a world record catch of 1,061 lbs. and an area of sensational seafood offering over four times more types of fresh fish per season.
the Emerald Coast is the combination of sun-bleached, shocking white shores, stretching 24 miles like ribboning white satin, with rich, emerald-jeweled waters. Sprawling shores provide seating for performances by dancing dolphins and sandpipers, as well as postcard-perfect sunrises and sunsets over the Gulf – all compliments of Mother Nature.
